At Coora we have long been looking for a sire that will lift our production.

To see how the New Zealand Corriedale genetics compare with Australian Corriedales, we selected 4 top performing rams in New Zealand during a trip in December 2003. These rams were in the top 5% of the breed in NZ for their selection index.

They are now being used by Corriedale LAMBPLAN breeders and an across Tasman analysis will be run to see if they have genetics to help us progress the breed. To this end we at Coora have used 3 of them by AI in 2004, and look forward to the results. Since using the rams we have heard that Bill Bain has sold a son of Wattlebank 422/00 for a NZ record price of NZ$10,000.00
